He stands.

Clacky clack.
Smack of balls
Echo stained
Cigarette halls.

On forest felt
And chalky blue,
In the corner
Waits my cue.

Deeper pockets
Fire rockets.
Rack em up
Winner’s cup.

Little kid
Red Roy Rogers.
Trails he hid.
This tiny todger

Now looks back
His shoes won’t fill.
The walls don’t crack
The windowsill.

Inside the view,
Beyond the crying
His father's heart
A prideful lion
