Nail to hammer
Dog to tick

Tick, tick
Burns the wick.
Time is melting.
Bruises welting.

Shift perspective.
A course elective,
Far removed
From in the groove.

The needle skipping.
The circuit tripping
From step’s ungrounded,
Claims unfounded.

Righteous rabble,
Blogging babble
To be heard
With empty words.

The herd, unguided,
Wanders excited.
An aimless angle.
Emotions tangle.

I, for one,
Am now undone.
Steer my path
From apes of wrath.
