The view, so wide and lovely,
Above the smog, so ugly. I wish to go beyond, With the wave of a quiet wander. Wherever seems the best. I'd like to find some rest From trouble and from woe. I don't know where to go. When I land and I am there, I'd like to say a prayer For people that I meet. But I've got to be discrete, For they are in the now, And my knowledge won't allow For meddling or interference. I don't have that kind of clearance. All I've got's perspective, Though it's not very effective At putting out the fires. Yet, burning seems required, To rise above the ashes, With hope in glints and flashes That people want what's best. Their good deeds can attest. I believe I see it now. I don't know why or how. Tomorrow and every year Today we must hold dear. 7/18/26 ZONE S4E10 Good evening, Mr. Smith.
What's that you're playing with? You've pulled me from the brink. Your hand's now stained with ink. If something's left, I'm right. It's all in black and white. These stories write themselves. At night by workshop elves. Somehow, you work and toil, While teeming trouble boils. Then splashed across the top, Those headlines really pop. It's just my intuition, This morning's new edition. A forecast of the future. An eerie premonition. Extra Extra! All about it You want it. Yeah, you got it. Just a light touch of the creature. Now start running a special feature. Listen, Devil, we need to talk. I've had enough, now take a walk Much too quick, our contract signed. You've veered across the dotted line. Well, my man, it's forced my hand. Time to collect here as you stand. Not so fast, I pulled your clause. And pried my soul from gripping jaws. 7/14/26 ZONE S4E9 Listen, doll,
I know I'm not that tall Or blonde and pearly bright. My teeth aren't dyno-mite. But, here we are alone. Your house is not a home. I see your man comes calling, His manner's rather galling. I know I'm meant for you. My muddling days are through. I've found no place that fits. They think I've lost my wits. I think of nothing else. I've put you on a shelf. No one that can come close I'm stuck with what I chose. I know that you're oblivious And my gawking's rather hideous. A wall exists between us. Still, I'm Mars and you're my Venus. I know what I have to do. Play along to be with you. I'l throw them off the scent. In my heart you pay no rent. They say I need a girl. I've found one who's my world. She plays piano in the mirror. I see things now are so much clearer. Just stay right where you are. Please leave the door ajar. Make way, I'm coming in. Let the parlor games begin. 7/10/26 ZONE S4E8 Tell me something, witch.
Why are you without a stitch On your borrowed wedding day? Why aren't you out making hay For a braided broom to ride. A cursed lover needs a bride. Follow promise to an altar. Why a witch would ever falter? Deep inside the love she owns, Dark and hollow, so alone. No one she doesn't have to trick. A silver pin will need to prick And end this suffering she hath wrought, To learn a lover can't be bought. To love someone that loves you true. To wear a ring as good as new. Jess, my dear, your heart is cursed. All for a man that you've immersed Into your spell without consent, But in the bargain, your soul was spent. Now your nights in agony. But in the day, your cares are free To dance then growl at the moon From month July to month of June. There, there, my dear, there is a chance Your cursed lover's learned romance. He'll stab your heart so tenderly As the only way to set you free. 7/7/26 ZONE S4E7 I know you are,
But what am I? I'm asleep. In dreams we fly. In the deep, Twinkling of an eye. Not a peep, Not a cry. Face it, Captain, We're all long gone. You're holding out, For something wrong. Forever searching, Never find. Listing, lurching, Marking time. With a promise, Comes a hope. Seeking solace And means to cope. I, for one, know Time has come. You're on your own. The only one. Close your eyes And count to ten. If no one's waiting, Count again. The future's spoiling To be the past. Who knows how long This trip will last. 7/6/26 ZONE S4E6 Unburned.
No stone unturned. Undone. The time has come To free your mind. We are your kind. The ones you need To be perceived. You're one of us. No time to fuss. Now settle down. This is our town. What once you thought Then overwrought The things you knew You just outgrew. Now take your place Among this race. We'll show you how To bend and bow. Among the class, The greener grass. Please state your name. Begin the game. Comfort and Joy Not shy or coy. White picket fence. It all makes sense. 7/14/26 ZONE S4E5 Nice

We can all be bought. If you share, At first, they'll care. Why do some revile the others? Why do children leave their mothers? I simply want what you have too. This boat is sinking with an extra few. I'm scared to give up what is mine. Hey mister, can you spare a dime? I've had to work for every cent, While you think you should have free rent. Come and get it. All for free. How'd it get here? Sure beats me. Just keep chillin And hanging out. Preach to me What life's all about. I'm a monkey. I'm no fool. If I weren't so tired, I could be cool. No one asked me To be born. They came, they conquered, Like their free porn. 7/1/26 ZONE S4E4 |
