Tense, uncertain.
Close the curtains.
Shut the window.
Fall back into

Safe and sane.
Down the drain.
Nothing new.
Damp mildew.

Cry a river,
Sniff and quiver,
Bend the blinds,
Peer outside.

Seek and hide.
Down the road,
Take a ride.
Find a friend.

Round the corner
Never ends.
Climb too quickly,
Get the bends.

Run the gamut.
Pick and choose.
Never look for
What you lose.

Back and forth,
Never knowing
Which dry seeds
You will be sowing.

Just keep going.
Just keep trying.
Yeah, whatever
Keep defying.

Otherwise,
Just lay down.
