Big river snakes
In streams and lakes. Dark odor roiling. Soup seed boiling. I'm treading water. Why do I bother? I can see the shore. Getting there means much more Splashing. Hopes that fear dashing. Teeth gnaw and gnashing. It’s not my place To judge this sickened race. They don’t know better And to the letter They stick To selfish, horny solace. Shallow wallet mollusks Wandering and willing. Cavities that need filling On empty calories. Mikes and Mallorys Find each other At Spring break druthers. Catching the frisbee, Is he or isn’t she? Shiny know nothing. Happy hole humping. Then a hot shower. So clean, they are sour. These snakes that need feeding. By the hour, they're breeding. My aches still go needing In lakes. Rinse. Repeating. 11/18/20
