What once was
Isn't now, Just because. When we were Fuzzy, funny. Still a blur. How it went. No longer What we meant. Who, they say, Fallen. Gone away. Where we used To keep lying. Lies asleep. The way we used To go, now runs Along the main road. Why I chose that life. I couldn't cut it With a knife. Where we all went Wrong. Expecting we could get along. How the roof came down. No support In that lofty town. What to do now? Raise our hands Above our brow. Why didn't I see before? Too young to open The other door. But i see it now. 4/`12/22
