If I'm mistaken,
My breath be taken.

If I’m surprised,
Gouge out my eyes.

If I’m a fool,
My mouth will drool.

If I am lazy,
My thoughts get hazy.

If I’m pessimistic,
Again, I missed it.

If I am flaky,
My legs get shaky.

If I lack reason,
Suspend me this season.

If I withdraw,
I broke the law.

If I’m on fire,
You’ll know I’m a liar.

If I turn blue.
I didn’t bother to chew.

If I get the gout,
It’s cuz I’m acting out.

If I get gangrene,
You’ll know I didn't clean.

If I want to lie down,
Heavy weighs this town.

If I start to curl,
The bedsheets will unfurl.

If asleep I fall,
I'll know I've seen it all.

If I turn to dust,
I hope there'll be a gust.
