Through curtains of danger,
The elegant stranger Rustles the room. A king in a manger. Unfurling his wisdom To those that would listen. Though houses seemed haunted, This traveler undaunted. Once thriving and yearning, The seasons kept turning. Turning and flipping, The tables kept tipping. An ache in the laughter, A quake of disaster. A service to master, Faster and faster. Take it and keep it. Render and reap it. Follow in footsteps, Falling for backflips. What’s left at the altar, Convictions won’t falter. The plot and the land A castle in sand. An echo of dreams Sewn together, it seems, Foundation to beams By benevolent teams. The wind that blows through Won’t wrinkle the view. Just shimmers the old And brings in the new. 12/16/20
