Smoke horizon,

The fainting future
On broken wing.

That keep us flapping,

Memento tapping:
Promise rings;
Books of photos;
Times we owe to

Luck and hope;
Risk and razor
Thin reasons;
Rotating seasons

Until the past
Climbs a mountain,
A coin spattered fountain,
Splashing fractal incisions,

Sequence revisions,
Simultaneous sensations,
Longing elation.
Loving equation,

Compressed and folded:
A desert skyline,
Whose hills recline
Into a sign, marking time
